Cristina Cuomo is ‘grateful to be feeling well again’ after coronavirus diagnosis

Cristina Cuomo is sharing a quick health update following her family being hit hard by COVID-19.

The novel coronavirus first struck husband and CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, then herself and then their 14-year-old son, Mario. Earlier this week, Chris announced he officially tested negative for the virus.

In an Instagram post Tuesday, the CEO of the health and wellness platform Purist, 50, shared a happy photo of herself jumping up in the air on the beach.

"I am so grateful to be feeling well again, and I wish for everyone’s safety and health," she said.

She also used the opportunity to plug her Purist wellness series for the coming week, which are featured on Instagram Live.

Some famous faces took to the comment section to send love and support to Cristina.

"Wonderful news!!" actress Jennifer Esposito wrote.

Hilaria Baldwin shared a yellow heart emoji while model Carolyn Murphy shared praying hands emojis and stars.

Cristina made headlines recently for the alternative remedies she says she and her family used during their fight against the novel coronavirus, which experts warned the public about.

Her recommendations, including baths using disinfecting Clorox bleach, which the cleaning product company has specifically warned against, have received criticism from medical experts.

On CNN's "Cuomo Prime Time" Friday, Chris Cuomo did not mention his wife during an opening monologue ridiculing President Donald Trump floating the idea of studying injection of disinfectants as a treatment for coronavirus during a Thursday briefing. On Friday, Trump said he was being sarcastic.

"Instead of selling us on a well-thought-out plan to reopen so we can get on the page, what are federal officials doing today? Warning us not to poison ourselves with household cleaners. Why? Because of what Trump said and meant," Chris Cuomo said at the start of Friday's show. "Heaven forfend, this president just take responsibility, just take it back. Trump floated it seriously, not sarcastically, and now he’s trying to spin it. It's the same thing every time. Double down on dumb."
